I'm finally off work for the holidays and I can prepare more manicures and posts! Today I have here something special - a completely new and British brand to me, Jacava London.
About Jacava: "Opulent nail polish, by JACAVA London, is "free from the nasties" (DBP, Camphor, Formaldehyde & Toluene). No Animal Testing. A little treat, where nothing is denied, even the real gold printing on the glass adds subtle luxury.
All JACAVA nail polish uses premium, high gloss and long-lasting formulations to keep your nails looking stunning for longer. Designed in London and made in the UK, JACAVA is a quintessentially British nail polish brand."
Well that sounds very nice for the beginning, right? So let's have a look at the nail polish itself:
I chose to try the shade called Chillax. I was tempted to try more classical shade like red creme but Chillax just stands out of the crowd. I would have expected little bit more green undertones or duochrome effect but that didn't happen. The colour is bright and vivid turquoise and screams SUMMER! to me :) It also has fine shimmer to it.
The formula was almost streak-free and fast-drying....very fast-drying. I had to paint fast and preferably in three strokes otherwise some light patching occurred. The pigmentation was very good already in one coat but I needed two for a full coverage. It dries glossy so I didn't use a topcoat just to show you the finish.
The bottle is very different to all regular nail polish brands. Its long gold cap and gold printing feels very luxurious. The bottle itself is rounded oval shape and the brush is long-ish and on the thinner side, kind of like in China Glaze polishes. Unfortunately there was no shade name on the bottle which I really miss and also the nail polish won't fit into your regular nail polish storage as the cap is long.
You can browse Jacava's catalogue and website here. One nail polish costs £14.50 and there is 3 for 2 offer runnig at the moment.
