Nailvengers Assemble! - Easter Nail Art | Czech Easter Eggs inspired

Hello lovelies,

It's finally the end of the month and it's time for another Nailvengers Assemble! post. This month's theme is of course Easter Nail Art and we hope to give you some inspiration.

I'll be joined by Alice (One Nail To Rule Them All), Allie (Brit Nails) and Amelia (xAmeliax). Sadly, Sammy (The Nailasaurus) won't be able to join this month so I'll be patiently waiting for her creation for the next month's challenge ;)

This is my Easter nail art...

Nailvengers Assemble! - Easter Nail Art | Czech Easter Eggs inspired

As you might know, I originally come from Czech Republic where there is a strong tradition of decorating Easter eggs with different techniques. This time I got inspired by beautiful 'Vnorovske kraslice' (Vnorovske Easter eggs) that are traditionally red, white, black and orange/yellow. I've never actually tried to do these but I know that they are made by covering parts/patterns with wax and then coloured. Then another pattern is painted with wax and then coloured with another colour and so on. Once all colours are done the wax is removed and this beautiful multi-coloured egg is done.

There are many more techniques of creating traditional Czech Easter eggs like these wax decorated 'madeira' eggs I do but that's probably for another time :)

For this manicure I have used:

OPI Red Hot Rio (reviewed here)

OPI Alpine Snow

Zoya Arizona (reviewed here)

A England Camelot

Seche Vite Topcoat

Admittedly, this manicure took a long time to create so I didn't bother with doing my other hand but I still wore it for three days because I loved how intricate and pretty the nails looked.

I have entered this nail art into Nail Polish Canada's challenge and it would be great if you would give me your vote. Please vote for them here.

Check out last month's Mardi Gras post if you've missed it >> click here. If you recreate any of our manicures then please use #nailvengers, we would love to see it! You can also follow us on Facebook:
