Hello lovelies,

Hope you're enjoying the weekend as much I do! I'm not putting up a regular Christmas tree this year so I made alternative one to hang on the wall. I might post some pic on social media once I finish it. Meanwhile I'll write today's post for you.

I want to show you a pretty glitter polish from SpaRitual called Living. It is part of the Home collection for Holiday 2014. Living can be applied alone but I wanted to show you how it looks layered over different bases.

Living is a mixture of small purple and magenta hexagon glitter and gold flecks in clear base. The glitter is quite dense so it could be opaque in 2-3 coats but I've decided to layer it. I have used one coat of Living over SpaRitual Bravery (thumb, middle & pinkie) and Vivid (index & ring). The application was easy and there was plenty of glitter on the brush so I didn't have to worry about even placement. It dried fast and not too gritty but I still applied a coat of topcoat.

Living is a very pretty 'glitter bomb' and I enjoyed wearing it. It would be a great polish for glitter gradients as well :)

The Home collection is available at SpaRitual US and SpaRitual UK websites and at the usual outlets.

Have a nice day! Lucie x

Hello lovelies,

Firstly I have to say this - I FINALLY OWN CONNECT THE DOTS!!! If you've been interested in nail polish for years you will know that Lynnderella's Connect The Dots was one of the first, maybe even the first indie black and white glitter topper and 'everybody' wanted it. I wasn't as lucky in restocks and I wasn't able to get it but now I finally own it!

I have used BE Creative Make Up Clouds and Magma to create a monochrome gradient base. Then I layered one coat of Lynnderella Connect The Dots over it. One coat was all I needed because the bottle is loaded with glitter in different shapes and sizes. The clear base also has glass iridescent particles giving the topper some sparkle. The glitter dried fast but a bit uneven so I applied a coat of Seche Vite to get smooth surface.

This was also the first time I was trying out BE Creative Make Up polishes. They come in quite a specific and unusual bottle shape that to me evokes hourglass. The cap is made out of matte plastic and has white branding on it. I like the matte cap as it gives it elegant look. The polishes were good to work with so I will be showing you some more later. BE Creative Make Up polishes are currently available in stores in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and Malaysia and Germany (check locations here). Hopefully they will be available in the UK soon if they are not yet and I will inform you as soon as I know more.

As for the Lynnderella Connect The Dots - I'm so happy to have it. I do have many other black and white glitter toppers that I have collected over the years but CTD is still unique to my collection. Lynnderella polishes are available at their online store and eBay store. You can also check out the latest colours on their blog.

Have a lovely day! Lucie x
