Hello lovelies,

I'm having shitty couple of weeks (but I'm not going to bore you with details) but that won't stop me in sharing some new nail polishes with you! I got approached by The Monthly Nail if I would like to sample their nail polish box...well yeah! I had no idea what to expect so I was very curious when the box arrived. Inside I found two Eugene Malibu polishes wrapped in pink tissue paper and The Monthly Nail card. I've never heard of Eugene Malibu (indie) brand before so I was excited to try something new. Let's check out the polishes...

Electric Zoo - bold blue shimmer. The colour of this polis is great but the formula was a bit tricky. It was a bit thick yet sheer so I've decided to apply it over black polish. First coat was quite streaky so I've applied second coat of Electric Zoo and that seemed to do the trick. All streaks were covered, colour was rich and it looked nice. Due to thicker coats the polish dried a bit slower so I ended up applying topcoat as well.

Electric Daisy - mix of blue and pink glitter with a dash of lime, red and pearl white glitters in a clear base with a bit of blue shimmer. It's a very unusual combination but it works. I've applied one coat over Electric Zoo and the shades complimented each other beautifully. The base was a tad thicker but it was still quite easy to manage so no problems here. Lovely glitter bomb :)

Hello lovelies,

It's finally mine, my precious! I bought the whole piCture pOlish limited edition of these polishes yet the newest release Borealis was out of stock everywhere. Then the nail polish angel Sally Magpies (UK store for many indie brands) offered to send me a bottle...well I was in heaven! Whole collection complete <3 Thank you so much Sally for this amazing polish!

Borealis is a dark blue based shimmer with multichrome shift to purple and burnt orange. It also contains generous amount of multichrome glitter, the same type that was in Ozotic Elytra line. It is a bit of a chameleon and the changes weren't so easy to capture even though you could see them beautifully on the nails. Especially when the lighting was dimmer the polish changed to burnt orange tones but it was impossible to take a picture with a reasonable quality.

I have applied one coat of Borealis over one coat of black polish (A England Camelot) and then smoothed the surface out with topcoat. It dried fast but a bit gritty because of the glitter but nothing topcoat wouldn't sort out. The formula was easy to apply, absolutely no problem. I can't wait to try the rest of the LE shades!

piCture pOlish is available at their website or at many international e-shops however I doubt this particular shade is still available anywhere, sorry :(

Have a nice start of the week! Lucie x
